§ 10-26. Establishment, composition and responsibilities.

(a)

There shall be a department of fire and emergency services which shall consist of the chief of the fire and emergency services department and shall other officers and employees of such ranks and grades as may be established by ordinance.

(b)

The department of fire and emergency services shall be responsible for the protection from loss of life and property from fire within the city.
