§ 26-113. Prohibited driving acts.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle in such a manner on the streets, byways and private property of the city in violation of the following prohibited driving acts.

    (b)

    For the purposes of this section, "prohibited driving acts" shall be defined as follows:

    (1)

    Improper or dangerous lane changes on streets or highways.

    (2)

    Cutting across private property, thereby avoiding intersections, stop signs or stop- lights.

    (3)

    Driving in such a manner or at such a speed so as to cause a skidding, spinning or sliding of tires or a sliding of the vehicle.

    (4)

    Driving too close to, or colliding with, parked or stopped vehicles, fixtures or objects adjacent to the streets, byways or traffic lanes.

    (5)

    Driving a vehicle which has any part thereof, or any object, extended in such a fashion as to endanger persons or property.

    (6)

    Driving in any manner without proper control of the vehicle.

    (7)

    Operating a vehicle wherein or whereon passengers are located in such a manner as to be dangerous to the welfare of such passengers or other persons.

    (8)

    Operating a vehicle in such a manner as to indicate a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property.
