§ 26-155. Downtown limited time parking; penalty for exceeding time limit.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle in excess of the time limit designated by signs (official traffic control devices) along city streets or highways in the downtown area of the City of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

    (b)

    Violations of this section shall be processed in the manner provided for in sections 26-66 through 26-75 of the Pine Bluff Code of Ordinances regarding traffic violations and shall result in a ten dollar ($10.00) fine for each violation.

    (c)

    The provisions of this violation and penalty are applicable to the existing limited time parking areas which have been designated by official traffic control devices placed or erected by the city and to any subsequent official traffic control devices placed or erected by the city and to any subsequent official city traffic control devices which may be placed or erected by direction of the city council without the necessity of amending this section. For purposes of this section, "official traffic control devices" shall mean all signs, signals, markings, and devices placed or erected by authority of the Pine Bluff City Council.
