§ 28-26. Use of fire hydrants restricted.

  • (a)

    The taking and/or use of water from fire hydrants in the city shall be restricted to city employees engaged in fire protection, sweeping or cleaning the streets, cleaning of sewers, and the use by the operators of the water system for the purpose of maintenance and operation of the water distribution system in the city.

    (b)

    The taking of water or tampering with the fire hydrants of the city by any person other than those specified herein and the use of water from such hydrants for any purpose not specifically authorized herein shall be unlawful.
