§ 7-47. Amendments.

  • The building code adopted by this article is amended and changed in the following respects:

    (1)

    Not withstanding any provision of the Residential Code, when a building or structure is to demolished, it shall be done so in accordance with provisions of an ordinance or resolution passed by the city council condemning the building or structure and ordering it razed and removed.

    (2)

    Section 101.4. Referenced codes. Codes referenced elsewhere in this code shall be interpreted to mean the applicable code adopted by the City of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

    (3)

    Section 103.1 Enforcement agency. The Inspection Department shall be the agency charged with enforcement of the provisions of this code, and the official in charge thereof shall be the building official for purposes of this code.

    (4)

    Appendix K. Permit Fees as referenced in Section 108.7 shall be as follows:

    "(a)

    Permit fees:

    "1.

    Where the valuation does not exceed $500.00, no fee shall be required, unless an inspection is necessary, in which case there shall be a $15.00 fee.

    "2.

    For a valuation over $500.00 up to and including $50,000.00, the fee shall be $15.00 for the first thousand plus $6.00 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.

    "3.

    For a valuation over $50,000.00 up to and including $100,000.00, the fee shall be $204.00 for the first fifty thousand plus $4.00 for each additional thousand.

    "4.

    For a valuation over $100,000.00 up to and including $500,000.00, the fee shall be $504.00 for the first one hundred thousand plus $2.00 for each additional thousand.

    "5.

    For a valuation over $500,000.00 up to and including $1,000,000.00, the fee shall be $1,304.00 for the first five hundred thousand plus $1.00 for each additional thousand.

    "6.

    For a valuation over $1,000,000.00, the fee shall be $1,804.00 for the first million plus $0.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.

    "(b)

    Moving of building or structures. For the moving of any building or structure, the fee shall be $40.00.

    "(c)

    Demolition of building or structures. For the demolition of any building or structure, the fee shall be $25.00 per building or structure.

    "(d)

    The fee for an existing building inspection for a new business shall be $75.00."

    "(e)

    Plan review fee. When the valuation of the proposed construction exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) and a plan is required to be submitted by the Code, a plan review fee shall be paid to the inspection department, equal to one-half (½) of the building permit fee as set forth in the Code. Such plan review fee is in addition to the building permit fee and is non-refundable.

    The plan review fee is due at the time the plan and specifications are submitted for review.

    "(f)

    All permit extensions or permit renewal, thirty dollars ($30.00)."
