§ 7-108. Final inspections.

  • (a)

    Before any electrical current shall be used upon any electrical wiring of any character, the electrical contractor or his master electrician shall notify the electrical inspector or his assistants that the job is ready for final inspection. The electrical inspector or his assistants shall schedule the inspection for the following workday or as soon as conditions permit. If the electrical inspector finds the installation has been constructed in accordance with the rules and requirements of this code, he shall record approval of inspection on the appropriate form provided by the inspection department. Such approval shall state the name of the inspector and the date of inspection.

    (b)

    When final inspections are requested, it will be necessary for the electrical contractor to arrange for the structure or structures to be inspected to be open in order that the inspection can be made. Occupied structures or structures containing personal property will not be entered by inspectors unless accompanied by owner or owner's representative.
