§ 7-123. Electrical contractor's bond.

  • Every person doing business in the city as a licensed electrical contractor shall file with the electrical inspector a bond in the penal sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) with a recognized surety company authorized to do business with the city. The bond and surety shall be approved by the city attorney, the condition of the bond being that the bond shall indemnify and hold harmless the city or any citizen of the city damaged by improper electrical work; and conditioned further that the principal shall strictly comply with the ordinances of the city governing such work, that the principal will do or cause no work to be done without a permit, and will report work done for inspection in conformity with the laws and ordinances of the city.
