§ 7-162. Work to conform to code; specifications for certain materials.

  • (a)

    Work to conform to code and rules. All electric work for light, heat, power or any other purposes placed in or on any building or structure in the city shall be installed in conformity with the rules and regulations as laid down in the electrical code adopted by this division and in conformity with the additional rules and regulations as set forth in this article. Where local rules and regulations are set forth in this article, they shall take preference over any rules conflicting herewith.

    Hazardous materials prohibited. No electrical apparatus, fitting or material shall be used or placed on sale when the city electrical inspector shall consider it a fire hazard or hazardous to life and property.
