§ 10-29. Salaries paid for holidays.

  • (a)

    All firemen of the city shall be paid for the thirteen (13) legal holidays as set forth in A.C.A. § 1-5-101. Firemen shall also be paid for any additional holidays which may hereafter be declared by legislative act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas.

    (b)

    Equalization pay shall be based on each man's daily rate of pay and in addition to the regular pay schedule. This equalization pay for the thirteen (13) holidays shall be prorated and paid during the regular payroll periods.

    (c)

    Uniformed employees of the fire department shall be entitled to be paid the equivalent of eight (8) hours of regular compensation for their birthday.
