§ 12-3. [Food service; sanitary protective devices or utensils required.]
While preparing food in accordance with sections 2-401 et seq. of the Arkansas Department of Health Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Food Services Establishment ("the rules"), all persons engaged in the activity of food services to the general public shall utilize sanitary protective devices and/or utensils so as to handle with least direct contact with such food. Such protective devices and/or utensils shall be either disposable or cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the requirements of section 5-101 et seq., of the rules relating to personnel. This provision shall be in addition to sections 3-201, et seq., of the rules pertaining to personnel.
The inspection department will monitor and enforce the provisions of this section.
