§ 13-106. CenterPoint Energy Resources Corporation d/b/a CenterPoint Energy Arkansas Gas Company.

  • (a)

    Effective April 1, 2011, the amount of occupation (license, franchise or other special city) tax to be paid by CenterPoint Energy Resources Corporation d/b/a CenterPoint Energy Arkansas Gas company (successor to Arkansas-Louisiana Gas Company) (hereafter referred to as the "gas company") for the remaining calendar year 2011 and for future years until changed by ordinance shall be an amount equal to four and twenty-five hundreds (4.25) percent of the annual total revenues, including sales and transportation revenues for industrial and commercial customers as well as all residential customers, derived from its operations in the city. The tax for each year will be passed on by the gas company to its customers in the city, together with the costs of collection, and shall be appropriately designated and shown as a separate line item on each customer bill in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Arkansas Public Service Commission. The tax for each year shall be remitted to the city in monthly installments each year.

    (b)

    Nothing in subsection (a) shall be construed to otherwise alter or change other terms and conditions of the present franchise under which the gas company is operating.
