§ 20-1. Temporary appointment, designation of duties in absence of employee.

  • In the absence of an employee from the positions of planning director, assistant planner, zoning administrator or zoning enforcement officer, the mayor shall have the authority to assign, designate or name, with the approval of the city council, any person to fill such position, as a temporary appointee, and to assign such duties and responsibilities to such appointee as may be deemed consistent therewith in the discharge of the duties and responsibilities of that position, for such time as may be deemed necessary and proper.
