§ 23-26. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Garbage shall mean and include all rejected food waste and shall include every refuse accumulation of animal, fruit or vegetable matter used or intended for food or intended for the preparation used in cooking, dealing in or storing of meat, fish, fowl, fruits and/or vegetables.

    Trash shall mean and include refuse other than food stuff, such as paper, clothing, grass, leaves, wood, ashes, tin and glass.
